induction kit problems

   got a k&n induction kit and if i take the oil brather pipe n the idle pipe off the standerd air box it splutters n bloggs down wen planting the foot below 2500rpm.............
   why is this? and how do i fix it?
   ive gt the standerd airbox back on

   idle pipe? Are you sure your putting it in the right place? Where are you trying to put it. Is it a new one, could be dirty need a clean.

   i put the filter on the inlet and there are 2 pipes ones the oil breather at the front and the other goes round the back of the inlet and into the left hand side where the air flow sensor is (i think its the air flow sensor), if i put my thumb over it the car konks out. is it tht what is makin my car run dodgey when i put the k&n on because when its running with the standerd airbox on its fine.
