mk2 rear spoiler on mk1

  1. #1
Done a search cant find anything, does it fit and how to fasten it on,are they just stuck on or with fasteners
  2. #2
theyre attached to the rear window ie: the window has holes in them iirc, the reason why i didnt put one on mine.

thats a twat!so will the mk2 spoiler fit the shape of the mk1 tailgate,if so it could be stuck on with a pu adhesive(sikaflex)?
  4. #4
the mk2 spoiler is hardly noticeable imo, more or a "lip" than a spoiler...
  5. #5
its just the mk1 soiler is a bit to big for my liking, the mk2 is a more discreet!!
and ya can get a mk2 spoiler in carbon
  6. #6
yeh you can tiger seal them on mate, you can probabaly get a whole mk2 boot with spoiler for £25ish though off ebay.

is it a direct swap the tailgate, you dont have to do anything else with the locking catch etc
  8. #8
direct swap, if u kno what ur doing on and off in 20 mins half hour.

and they have developed a carbon mk1 spoiler too i belive.

it will be easier to grab a mk2 boot if your after one, do u have a mk1 spoiler, what color? lol
  9. #9
its still on the car,and its not painted,so its black plastic
  10. #10
Didnt search hard enough . but yeah the mk2 spoiler will bond on to the window of the mark 1 ive got a mk2 spoiler in the shed jus waiting to be sprayed.

I'm after a spoiler for mine but an't find one for a decent price.

Hopefully there's a few in the FS section when I qualify to view it.

Go to your local scrapyard/vehicle breakers .

I got mine from ebay on the cheap worth a look !
  13. #13
couldnt u just swop the glass over saves spraying a new boot?? then ud have the holes.
  14. #14
i got some tiger seal of ebay, stuck that bitch on with markin where it goes so its straight and gaffa taped it on until the tiger seal set- easiest way imo instead of swappin boots and shit cos then your gonna have to swap the locks

Have found one on the Bay from a 2003 in what appears to be posiedon blue.

It's an auction rather than buy now though so chances are someone will pay over the odds for it.
