Probables on the limit but tbh id get 4 new tyres, wouldnt be driving with them and in this weather you need as much grip as possible

    im a tyre fitter

1 yes its fine as long as the cracks dont reach the cords of the tyre

2 hell no, must have 1.6mm of tread across 3/4 of the tyre road surface.

3 hard to tell but id say no

i used to be a tyre fitter, and i wouldnt say the 1st one is fine

Its cracks on the sidewall that are the main worries

the 1st one looks fine but id still wouldnt drive on them

just put in the for sale details that tyres could do with replacing, probablies a few hundred miles worth of tread on them

i didnt say it was fine, he asked if it was LEGAL, which it is.

Why don't you just buy a depth guage from halfords, they must be all of £2. 1.6mm across the central 3/4 and no exposed chords - can't go far wrong if you remember that.
