Important! : Immobiliser preventing my car from starting!!!

   I have a 2002 saxo vts the problem started sometimes when i tried to start the car the immobiliser light on the dash would come on and my car wouldn't start so I waited a second for the light to go out and then started the car, this problem would occur every now and then however now everytime i try start the car the light comes on and the immobiliser prevents the car from starting!!! I need a quick fix solution as I need the car to go university.
   
   After some research I think the problem is with the ecu and have been told by a friend to either get the ecu reprogrammed or decoded???
   
   I've tried this link to decode the ecu myself however it never worked:

   Phoned around and found a guy who said he could reprogramme my ecu and keys for £60 plus money for the code and also VAT. Is this worth it???
   
   Is there anyone on here that decodes ecu's or has a decoded ecu for sale??? I'm in south east england.

   iirc you need to unarm the immobiliser start the engine and wial its running unplug the immobiliser brain to unlock the ecu bout 99% sure

   my 2000 vtr had tht prob not long ago when my central locking fob stopd working, i just held the fob but in while i turned key and that worked, then removed imobiliser as in my experience when your imobiliser starts playing up its nothing but hassle but the price for what you want done sounds fair as i had 2 pay 130 when my megane lost the programe

   unless you can get it started you'll have to pay for it to be unlocked rr buy an unlocked ecu. if it will start unlpug the immob and leave it disconnected. this will leave your ecu unlocked.

   mine used to flash i.e the immobiliser not allowing the car to start.. so i cleaned the ignition barrel area. and my key. and hey presto. all sorted.

   good ikea, il clean my barrel n key 2moz, but i've alredy given my ecu to someone who might be able to decode it
