Painting Saxo and Citroen badges. Guide.

Well... I decided to paint my badges.
And I'm pretty chuffed with how they turned out... So here's a quick guide on how to do yours if you're thinkin' about it.

Okay... I went over the badges initially with steel wool... You 'could' use.. Wet and dry but I thought mine turned out well with usin' the wool.

In my eyes.. They looked gash stock. So... Out comes the steel wool... Scrunch it up into a little ball and....

    ...You have a Citroen Sax.

.. This is the just as popular but not quite as ordinary... Citru.

And... then.. Just give it a quick few rubs over with some T-Cut.

This is how mine turned out.

Also... While I had the spray cans out... I went over the mesh that the previous owner fitted. Turnin' it a little more colour scheme friendly.

Since I'm goin' all black 'n' blue.

Okay... To explain why I never just took it off. The bolts on the back, holding it in.. Are rusted beyond repair.. So instead of hack-sawing them off... I just stuck down some paper and got at it with the spray can...

I think the results much better! =)

    Tell me what you think.

now all you need to do is throw the light brows in the bin
  3. #3
Lol. Nobody seems to be too keen on them.
I'm wantin' to bin those lights anyway.. Replace them with Halo lights and then get me som'ore light brows. Or not.. Depending on how the Halos look.
I'll admit though.. The brows do look like they end early..

Lol. There's already a guide? Shit.... Okay.. Before I get flooded with comments tellin' me how much of a noob I am.
I'm sorry... Oh Jebus I'm sorry!
    Lol.
    Now that that's done. xD
Wha'choo mean I'm a brave man? Much quicker and it doesn't score the badges.

tbh mate, if you could get hold of scotch-brite to do it it works ALOT better.

thats what my bro-in-law uses for prepping bumpers/trim for respray jobs.

alot safer than wire wool. garunteeed to leave no damage whatsoever, unless your an idiot and get all grit in the scotch-brite haha

hmmm why didn't you just t-cut them?=S no need for wire wool.

Lol. Well mine aint damaged so I aint bothered about how dangerous it could've been.
    Haha.
    Well.. Itlooks fine.
Also... Turnip.. if I just T-Cut them then they wouldn't be black now.. Would they? -_-'

yes mate you can tcut the silver paint off the badges leaving them black, its how alot of people on here do them

way you did them is fine though mate and they look good

    Ah.
    Yeah... I could've.
I've got a bit of a steady hand though =P
Anyways... I'm pretty happy with the way they worked out.
    Also.. Cheers Rick.
I think all the methods look exactly the same in the end...
It's just dependin' on what's on hand.
