Dash spray

    when i get paid in a couple days, i was thinking of spraying up my interior dash like vents centre console etc. will this be suitable for the job(link) or do i have to get some different spray paint.

    you could prob get the spray you need down a local halfords, whatever you spray will need to be sprayed with primer first.

    Thanks mate, i knew bout primer but i know someone who just sprayed it straight on after a good clean and looked fine! saying that havent seen in a while lol

    Halfords is cheaper, just any colour spray will do

    plastic primer
    paint
    clear laquer

    Get some plastikoat(think thats the right name) i`ve found you get a much better finish with it available in Hellfrauds you still need a plastic primer coat though.

    plus you can get plastikoat cheaper in some places (DIY shops).

    Degrease
    Wet Dry
    Clean
    Primer x 3
    Paint x 3
    Laquer x 3

    Make sure you rub down between coats of primer and paintJobs a good un

    i got all my paint from halfords and ive done my interior aswell as rims an it worked out fine, that interior spray just seems to b a rip off i dont know any1 who has actually brought it and used it

    rubbing down inbetween coats imo makes it worse, as long as you apply really thin coats of paint/primer/laquer you wont need to rub down.

    if you apply really thin light coats, do about 5 of each

    im in progress as i am wirintg this lol. i sprayed 3 coats of primer leaving 20 mins gap on the side vents but i was shaking can and dropped it now primer can is busted so one only has two coats. Anyway just gave it first coat of posidean blue another 2 coats each and job a gud un right? cant really afford laquer atm lol im a bit low this week

    when taking out the dash don't drive it ha i did and had remebered i had no indicators for a day... very illegal

    to make the indicators work just put the switch back in and shoud work

    what would you say the best colours would be to spray an interior centre and vent pannels for a posi blue car would be?

    grey??? like the ceiling pannels?
