demands how much your willing to spend mate, encosed airfiters are the best, however thats the best part of £200

powerflow, they custom make them and you can tell them how loud you want it!

for a 1.0 air filter anything from ebay I guess as it doesnt have any performance to worry about losing!? they are about £30 and look like a K&N

If your just after a nice exhaust noise, i would't buy an uprated filter and just get a backbox. Maybe magnex.
    Depends on budget really.

not realli worth spending all that money. id agree with cool c u could probly get a back box from ebay 4 50 60 quid and just drill holes ur aitbox and put a cold air feed to it

A cold air feed into the std air box wont make any more noise (which your after) and for the £30 id buy a cone filter and have the std one to put back on (un-bodged) when you poss get a VTR or VTS if thats what your after doing?

Agree with the backbox idea though you could get one from ebay for pennies

a backbox will usually not make a huge difference in noise unless its quite big and then they tend to sound a bit poo imo
most guys will get a straight through for the note and a small backbox to keep the volume down

as for the filter an open cone will make the most noise

i ment to say get a uprated panel filter but ur lookin at 25 30 quid for 1 so u may aswell just get a universal 1 from halfords or somewere like that i think i saw 1 in there once for like 15 pound bargain

    Hi guys,
Just a quick question about standard air filters. I've just bought a VTR and my mate has a 106 Quicksilver which he is selling. He said I could have his Pipercross air filter for free so long as my standard air filter would fit his 106. Could anyone tell me if they are the same/fit? As i know the 106 and Saxo are pretty much the same car from the chassis upwards. Thanks
