-
#4so yes it is dependin what copper you get pulled by its the same rule with neons and anyother exterior light. one of my friends work hasnt got a clue about her saxo and her bf has put blue sidelights and as that she got fined for it i had to swap them for her. that poor saxo of hers gets so much abuse coz of him does my nut in. my grumble over lol
-
#5so depending on copper i could get points?
i read recently on a link off here that you can have undercar neons as long as they cant be seen from the rear of the vehicle. -
#6think white is only legal colour for under neons but they look shit anyway so its not worth it. Headlights only white rear lights only red. thats the law
-
#7so white led sidelights ok. i dont mind a fine, just dont want points
-
#8White LED sidelights are what i have, tbh they look like a really cold white bulb, white with a hint of blue, anyway. not had any trouble with them. but blue will certainly atract unwanted attention
-
#9A 30£ fine for something that looks wank? 100% worth it...!
-
#10they should fine people for having lesux lights
-
#12slight tint of blue LED is fine i had the ice blue sidelights, then had quad led sidelights now have got 150 led sidelights they have a tint of blue in them look the nuts ! you wont be pulled for them...

-
#13is that a single led? whats the 150 led?
-
#14yes you will be fine with white or ice blue side lights, you may not even get a fine i may get sumthin like a producer to which u have to change the side lights go to an mot station to have them checked then go to a police station to show uve done it to avoid fine or points, and i remember readin u were aloud neons so long as u couldnt see the bulb/tube its self but its all a very grey area so wouldnt risk mate
-
#16dont worry. i wont be fitting under car neons. LOLZ
erm yeah. i think i will get some of these tbh http://www.aceparts.com/all-led-bulb...-sidelight.htm or some cheaper ones off ebay.
Is a single LED better than say 4 LED's in one bulb? -
#17as long as you havent got blue sidelights your be fine
neons will get you pulled over and fined fact
some white sidelights with a blue tint shall be fine people dont even get pulled for having purple aftermarket dazzling HID headlights your be fine mine went though the MOT fine... -
#18do u have any pics of those sidelights on your car?

#25Sorry Chav haters but blue lights are technically legal:
OK, the situation with proper blue lights (not the so called blue headlamp bulbs) is this:
Part II of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations states...
Colour of light shown by lamps and reflectors
11.(1) No vehicle shall be fitted with a lamp which is capable of showing a red light to the front, except-
(a) a red and white chequered domed lamp, or a red and white segmented mast-mounted warning beacon, fitted to a fire service control vehicle and intended for use at the scene of an emergency;
also
(2) No vehicle shall be fitted with a lamp which is capable of showing any light to the rear, other than a red light, except-
...
(h) blue light and white light from a chequered domed lamp fitted to a police control vehicle and intended for use at the scene of an emergency;
...
(k) blue light from a warning beacon or rear special warning lamp fitted to an emergency vehicle, or from any device fitted to a vehicle used for police purposes;
...
Restrictions on fitting blue warning beacons, special warning lamps and similar devices
16. No vehicle, other than an emergency vehicle, shall be fitted with-
(a) a blue warning beacon or special warning lamp, or
(b) a device which resembles a blue warning beacon or a special warning lamp, whether the same is in working order or not.
So it appears that blue lights can be fitted to vehicles provided they do not emit blue light to the rear, flash or resemble a warning beacon.
However in this case it is illegal because the bulbs are fitted in a Turn Signal lamp and that contravenes the colour requirements of the turn signal, i.e. colour emitted by a turn signal must be amber. -
#26erm cheers rem their really not blue just look it from the photo their more white and in that pic an icy blue most headlights look icy blue anyways.....
-
#27Only problem there is you only have half the story. Its like me reading that about 30mph speed limits and then just guessing I must be able to do any speed I like on any other road. Same with the lights. The requirement for both headlights and sidelights are they must be white or yellow. Blue headlights are a MOT fail and are illegal to use on the road. From the MOT hand book "Reason for rejection" (FAIL) "A front position lamp shows a light other than white to the front, (or yellow if incorporated in a yellow headlamp)"Quote:Sorry Chav haters but blue lights are technically legal:

#28I forgot to add that my point was you could have blue aswell as the MOT requirements.
This is why you see so many lorries with rows of blue lights on.
They still have their standard sidelights and main beams. -
#29Fuck. I need to go get more sidelights!! Didn't even occur to me that blue ones would be illegal.
