what are some of the wildest cams that can be put into the 90bhp mk2 vtr with a remap of course, was thinkin of gettin the ph3s but noticed in a thread the other day you cant run thses on a vtr(i thought you could) is tis true) also doe the 90bhp engines respond better to n/a tuning such as cams than the 98bhp? any help appreciated!

well if you get new internals and some bodies and headworjk you can run a 290 degree cam in the 8v iirc

on standard internals i think the ph3 is the wildest you can go
dont know whats available for which vtr motor tbh though

I'm pretty sure you can run them but they will need mapped.

There are a few bearing size restraints and rocker type variants on the 8V engine. You have to get the correct cam for the correct parts.

simple question really - what mods have you done?
If you havent changed the inlet from the standard VTR one then you have no hope of running wild cams without idling problems and probably emissions too.

so far jus breating mods, got a few daft things to do first like weeping sump gasket and passenger front wheel bearing, ive heard you have to use a rallye inlet mani with the ph3s this correct? ibviousley i'd have to get 1 if this is the case? and was going to port match the inlet mani(whether it be vtr or rallye) and port and polish the throttle body all at the time of fitting the cams befor it goes for a map
