Refurbing Wishbones

   Gonna look into refurbing the wishbones over the summer - preventative maintenance and gives me a chance to fit some Powerflex bushes. Am I right in thinking you need a press to remove the old ball joints and fit the new ones? Is it also worth renewing the rear mounts?

   press for ball joints yes.
   
   rear bushes are fine on a road car imo, hardcore ones bring more problems on a car thats a daily

   yes you will need a press to renew them, personaly i would just take them to a local garage to do that bit,will be easier tbh.
   
   Not sure about the rear mounts mate

   powerflex bushes
   press joints out, give them a nice lick of paint.
   
   see other thread a few down i roughly covered how to swap them

   Aye, will be fitting Powerflex bushes but is it worth renewing the rear mounts that bolt up into the footwells?
   
   Will have a garage press the old crap out, hammerite them and get them pressed back in. Then I'll get williams to re-fit them and give everything the once over haha.

   no point replacing them with ones from a motorfactors if the olds are still ok.
   
   when people change the rear mounts this is when issues occur
   
   if you do this aswell you might aswell just buy new wishbones

   powerflex are a rip off there jsut poly bushes, you can get them hal;f the price from many other places

   Hmm. I notice the red poly race bushes are a fair bit cheaper - is the ride/ noise not harsher with these?
