1.1i to 1.4i

   hello people i am gettin a saxo 1.4i with a blown head gasket and i hav got a 1.1i atm. I was just wonderin if u can put a 1.4i head on a 1.1i block and can u use (SPI) on the 1.4i head or wud it jus run like shit becuz there isnt enuf fuel goin into the engine?
   
   pls tell wt u fink and if it wud work?

   i bought a 1.4 engine a while back for £50
   
   no point messing abut when you can get engines so cheap

   why a 1.4? never heard of a 1.1 to 1.4 conversion.

   i did a 1.6-1.4 conversion lol
   
   a 1.4 head on a 1.1 will work you can swap the inlet setups i think but you may have diffrences in sensors around the head so it might be a pain

   from a member, ok it was like 4 years ago mind, and i got a vtr egine delivered for £85 3 years ago

    yes you could get several heads and they will perform differently
    id get a head off a rallye 1.3 or the old xsi myself they are rather good heads

    is the xsi head MPI or SPI because my 1.1i is SPI?
    if it is MPI what do i need to do to change my 1.1i to MPI?

    mpi mate so will be a little better
    tbh with something like that youll be looking at swapping the looms about as imo that would be easier
    
    but tbh with engines its a case of anything is possible with the right funds
