saxo gear box

   rite my gear box on my saxo has gone, its a 1.4 52 plate furio, i was just wondering if i put a 1.1 gear box on it would this make my speedo wrong or maybe use more petrol?

   I belive a 1.1 gear box is ideal for the acceleration because of the shorter gear ratio's. At top end though, it wouldn't be able to handle it. I'm on about flat out (I doubt a 1.4 would go any faster then a 1.1 top end?)
   
   Wouldn't use any more petrol i wouldn't had thought?

   ok then mate not realy botherd about making it any faster jus didnt realy want to do any more damage to it lol

   And all the gear boxes bolt directly onto all the engines i believe also (Unsure about say Mk2 engine to a Mk1 gear box)

   itll fit on ok mate
   
   the 1.1 box is similar to a 106 xisi box i think (notr identical)
   so youll need to rev a tad higher to do the same speeds
   and youll lose a bit off your top speed (not that you need to do 120 on the roads)
   
   will accelerate a tad faster though
