it stops the alternator working and therefor reduces the amount of hp being sapped from the motor by running the alternator
thats as much as i know on the subject as i cant see it making a huge difference but f your trying to squeeze every single bit of power you can it may be worth while

im yet to see a car running it

The alternator isnt constantly working anyway when the battery is full charged it wouldnt run so surely it isnt zapping any power?

Anyway its £120 plus VAT and p&p so its not free

If setup correctly it does actually work and it should not be confused by half the junk that is for sale on ebay these days. But as people have said its minimal what it does and you would be better saving a little more and doing something more significant.

I believe, in addition to what Ax has stated, its efficiency depends on how much power the alternator is currently sapping. Hence, if you're driving along with AC blowing, loud music with big amps, etc, then it will make a greater difference.

Well there's £120 worth of bollocks to avoid. The drag caused by the alternator reduces the power by so little you wouldn't notice any difference if you removed it completly! Wiring a circuit so it doesn't accept the charge being drawn from it makes no effect on the pulley itself. Save your money!!

save your moneys like the other guys said thats alot of money for somethig that doest really do alot
