advice for new tyres?

ok need some advice on this one, need 4 185/55/14 tyres, decent but not more than £40 each ideally unless its really worth it.
i want them to last a while, good grip in the dry and as good as possible in the wet. fire away!

tough one if u want them to last for that price.

Durable tyres are the bigger name brands such as michelin, goodyear and especially conti's for durability.

My personaly choice is Toyo CF1's which i would consider better than the toyo T1 r's for the larger wheels. Though they dont last very long. Federal for that budget maybe your best choice!

i was eyeing up cf1's but only because they're the only ones in that size, would prefer them to last at least 6k miles is that a bit optimistic?

yeh they will last them sort of miles easy enough! I used to be a tyre fitter and the contis used to be on car that had done like 40k! Had one customer who had contis changed and they had done 80k and were still leagal!!

Theyre ok, being a budget tyre they aint gonna be great, though better performance than the Sdrives.

If you want a tyre to last at least 5k then your best bet is the CF1's highly recommend them, they were amazing in the dry and the handling was quite dialed in the wet! Only drawback, is the tread pattern isnt very attractive, but who cares about that!

    CF1's

The brand is mid range budget where as toyo are a well known brand but with good prices. For the lower range of tyres between £32-£42 wholesale price then you dont go by the rule, you get what u pay for.

Just get the toyo's you wont be dissapointed.
