smoothing boot lock

    smoothing boot lock how would one go about this ? its off ready to go and buy the bits to do it

    how would i fill the hole ( i know filler ) but what should i put behind it ?


    treid looking for a guide but no luck

    could bodge it? Alderite a 2p coin behind there. although...might not fit

    i glued some plastic in the hole and then smoothed it all in and painted it... took about a week altogether...

    what ive always thought would be cool, is to put the button for the popper, behind the gromet from where the rear wiper was, so you just press the gromet and the boot releases.

    erm good point. maybe you could wire it into your central locking/alarm, so the button only works when the cars unlocked, so basically relocating the current button.

    id put something plastic on the outside of the hole then fill it from the back with fiber glass then when its dry remove the plastic. give the out side a rub until the fiber glass is level then fill the remaining hole from the front prime paint laquer fit job done.

    that looks really smart i wouldnt mind doin that on mine... so how do you open the boot if theres no push button??

    you can wire a popper onto your wiper motor if youve dewipered. or just run a relay with a power source from the battery to a switch on your dash.

    i done mine with fiberglass mate,looks wank tbh but it was my 1st time.

    gonna fibreglass my next 1 up to a point then fill it with p38 and smooth it

    The botton behind the blank for the wiper motor is a great idea! Just take out your fuse box and find a switched live triggered by the central locking (if there is one)

    yeah so when the car is locked the button wont work

    think im just guna buy a colour coded 1 of ebay to make it look better as mine is black lol should make a diff
