Colouring Writing On TD 1.2's **NOW WITH PHOTOSHOP PIC...**

  1. #1
    Hey guys,

Well i have decided against gettin some "rim tape" as im going to have to get ti atleast 13mm wide to cover the writing, which will be to thick imo.

Now im fancying having the "Team Dynamics Motorsport" writing colourd in green to match the rest of my green bits.

Is there any ways i can do this myself, or its it more of a profesional job??

    Advice anyone??

Yea i suppose, could easily take the wheel off and tape off the writing etc etc

Would probs have to do a letter at a time.....

I no i can get a kawasaki green touch up pen.....

Just wondering how i would then lacquer it.....

The only way you could lacquer it is if you took it off and masked it all off leaving just the letters other wise you would have to leave it unlacqered and probably have to keep doing it!

Do you guys think i should do both on each wheel or just one??

As it says "Team Dynamics Motorsport" twice on each wheel....

Not sure if it would look odd with just one done or would look better with both done...
  18. #18
id do both will look odd with just one
  19. #19
yea i reckon it would actually.....

Can see this taking a LONG time, got a kawasaki daler with a parts department about 2 mins away from my house, going to ring them tomorow see if they do touch up kits.

Will get one if they do then a small brush and crack on with it!!

A day per wheel i think.....

Defo need to get a lacquer pen/brush with it though

Hope i dont fook this up lol

Do you know how he done it Ryan??

Im just speaking to Pred at the mo and he is saying i should just get an Enamel paint and pour it over the writing then wipe the escess off so it sits in the writing.

Im abit scared i think ha
  33. #33
he had the 1s so no groves, they were flat faced so stickers for the writing.

the 1.2s have the grooved writing and the slightly different center bolt type configuration
  34. #34
looks sick as fuck! definatley do it
  35. #35
perfume pipettes, use some thinners on enamel paint and i think it should work tbh, just keep it full or itll blow air
  36. #36
cant u just use a touch up pant and steady hand?
  37. #37
we discussed that but damn every single letter will have to be perfect to look right

Only thing they didnt have was pipettes!!

Will have to wait now lol
  43. #43
    not noticed the wilwood
    probably has

ive been very tempted to do my wilwoods but im too lazy lol
  44. #44
Looks ace in the pic mate. Id advise getting a small art brush to use with the touch up paint as the brush which they normally come with are quite big.

Take your time lol and it should come out oright!
  45. #45
alex the yellow nana is dan beadles.

as i said its not on 1.2s
  46. #46
A really need to do my wilwoods, there practically silver now lol
