Power Drop at 3000 RPM

   Hi there.
   
   When accelerating to 4000ish rpm and changing up to the next gear (new gear at 3000rpm) i get a power drop off, the car seems to hold at 3000 rpm for a bit before the power comes back on.
   
   Anyone else have this problem ?
   
   Any ideas on how to fix it, its really annoying.

   if it happens when you change gear then the clutch could be slipping

   could it just be a flat spot in the rev range?or am i just been stupid?

   It only happens at the 3000 rpm, never driving normally - still clutch ?
   
   Say its a Flat spot - can i get rid of it, if so how ???

   it was because you said it happened when you changed gear, that's all. could just be a flat spot. give your car a service (clean filters etc).have you fitted an open induction kit? they can cause flat spots.

   Car is totally standard - just been serviced by Citroen (before i bought it 3 weeks ago) - i checked spark plug gap and that was fine.
   
   Car is also in Mint condition and has only done 56,000 miles.
   
   Really Stumped :/
   
   Keep em comin lads - its really annoying me.
