#4arnt all induction kits basicly the same iv just put hosing in my 1.1 from the throtle bodie to undrneath the car and now got much better accelaration i keep up with saxo 1.6 16v but top speed is shit
-
#5you've either got a 16v conversion and you dont know it or the "1.6 16v saxo is being pushed and your racing it
-
#7Em, wtf! you kept up with a 1.6 16v with just an induction kit as a mod. Sure it didnt bolt into the manifold and need oil lines? LOL
Iv just gone from a 1.6 16v with 140 horses un the hood to a 1.4 with an angry pack of hamsters and tbh, theres not a hope in hell of me keeping up with a 16v!
However, answering the question!
Racelands inclosed kit with a green filter would probs be best as it funnels the air on to the filter and seems to give good healthy bhp results. either that or spend double the cost and get a k&N top of the range kit. -
#8i´ve tryed a bmc air filter in the original case and the raceland filter...
the raceland is 10 times better...you loose something between 1000&2500 rpm but above that it´s all gained! i´m speaking on a 16v
on a 1.4 if you find a cheap cda I´d advise you that!to buy it new it´s not worth, but on a 1.4 it´s the best airfilter. a friend of mine had it on his 106 before swapping on 1.6 8v and he was almost as fast as I was around the track -
#11no filter? this will suck up every piece of crap from the road and you'll need a new engine

#12cheers 4 the advice
