depends what cams you go for
  3. #3
your normal fast road cams you will see around 120
  4. #4
whats the differnce in cams then ?? and what would be the best 1s
  5. #5
there are a huge range of profiles
    some give minimal gain
others require huge amounts of modification to the engine just to be able to run

most go for a mild cam that will run in a mostly standard engine

Get the mani 1st, then the cam. Get best performance from cam then. unless your doing them together. Its recomended that you should have it remaped. I no there are a couple of cams out there wer you dont need to get remaps, forgot the make 5-10bhp i would say.
iv got full exhaust system with 4-2-1 mani. and de-cat pipe, one box ( the back box) air filter, power is alot better.
Was going to get cam but was getting high qoutes on cams with no remaping needed. still thinking about it though but yeah your talking about 5-10bhp i was told. and more if its remaped of course.

Thats just a company name. Theres different types of cams newman's do ranging from ph1's to ph10's. Ranging from cams that don't need remaps, to ones that do, and ones that need throttlebodies + standalone, headwork etc. It can get very pricey.

Ph3 is the popular one for the saxo's as it gives good gains (simular to 708's i believe?) but requires a remap to get the most out of it.

Ph1's wont require a remap but wont give as good performance.

With ph1's you'll still have a smooth idle and a low mid range power band (1,500rpm - 5500rpm).

i wouldnt bother with something mild. get one mapped or youll be dissapointed

tsaxo. message cam racing. say need a cam, pulley and belt if he sells the standard one and a mani and do a deal with him. im sure he will sort you out
