Just bought VTR. How to tell if remapped?

I have just bought a 1999 VTR for not much money as a little runabout. Good deal so snapped it up. I have driven VTR's before, but this one seems to be much quicker, and pick up much faster. It only has a wolfrace exhaust and k & n filter, but is there anyway to tell if it has had performance remapping, it just seems too quick for a standard VTR.

could have been cammed? One way to test if it's been mapped is to see where it will redline (rev limiter kicks in) Standard VTR revs to 6250rpm or thereabouts. If mapped it might be set to rev upto 7250rpm or even more.

just take it for a dyno run. if you come up with much higher numbers than standard, you can expect it to be remapped. to be real sure: go to a specialist.

are you sure the other VTR you drove want the 90bhp version? and your one is the 98bhp version? go to somewhere that does remapping if you really want to know.
