1.) less pedal to the metal.
2.) 106 S1 Rallye box is best for acceleration
3.) You are probably breaking the diff so you need to spend some money buying an uprated diff (Quaife.)

a decent ma box will take 150odd easily mate
seen em take a lot higher then that and survive quite well

a lot of big power guys swap to a be gearbox but it costs a fair amount to do

Are you accelerating hard through wheelspin?
    Ie. Wheelbounce?

i am a sensible driver but when i go for death i go for death. The gear boxes loose gears.

well, theres only 5 gears, so stick to those 5 gears

tip: stop wheel spinning and take your time

yes but there are different gearboxes bades on the ma 5 speed
they have different ratio clusters and different final drives giving different acceleration charecteristings and different top speeds

tbh sounds more like your driving then the actual box mate. Try being more sympathetic with it

Drive through the gearbox with mechanical sympathy, generaly if you understand how these things work you will know to make sure you dont wreck it!

Let the box warm up, no wheel spinning, ive done about 10 track days and loads of laps at the ring with a 170bhp and the gearbox still basically feels like new!

As Josh says, letting it warm up is key.

Be suprised the difference it makes in prolonging the life of a box. A good 15-20mins of steady driving first is vital

just let it warm up m8 does the job 4 me
