i took my car up GT motorsport about a week ago to get the ECU remapped.

however, he rung me up and said my ECU is too old to be remapped? eh?

    is this true?

i offered to buy a newer ECU and get that remapped but he said that wouldn't work either

    i have a 98 mk1 vtr

GT Motorsport is in Burslem, not far from smallthrone roundabouts.

Tweedy (Mark tweed) fitted my catcams, cambelt & new cam covers, told me it would take 2 days, rang me 4 hours later and said it was done. But he set the cams up on standard timing and it only made 139bhp, so had to have them redialled and remapped at Mikeanics in congleton after a RR session with Mike.

He told me that he could remap my car, but i told him he couldnt as they are a pig to map and that i was having a standalone the next day anyway....

Cost me £300 for a 4 hours of shit work. Rip off merchants!
