ok just had my mate call me he's had a new gear box fitted to his T reg saxo westcoast 1.4 8v i dont think they "mechanic" has a clue what he's doing but since its all been done it won't start now,

ok havent seen it or spoke to the guy that has done it iv heard it from second hand BUT!!!!

well he (mechanic) recons it wont start because the immobilizer has lost its programming due to the battery being disconnected..... i dont think so

stupidly i said i would have a look tomorrow is there any thing you guys have come across after fitting a new box that can cause it to not start??

ok ill check sensor's,loom for damage ect but i cant see the battery being disconnected making any difference at all to the immob iv seen it before wher the speed sensor wire has been caught in the box but other than that my head is blank.

im guessing if he hasnt disconnected the battery at first he could have blown the ecu but i clutching at straws any idea welcome
