    Has anyone got one?
de-wipered my saxo so can use the motor
just wondered how good they were and which ones to buy/avoid?

Yeah I did that a while ago. Got a universal 12v solenoid from Maplins and a push button. The solenoid comes with all the brackets you need to fit it into the boot, just have to bend them into shape and cut them down etc, then wire it in. It's easy.

If you're really clever, you could take the feed from the rear screen washer off the wiper stalk, so there are no aftermarket switches on display.

i got one from maplins, think it was about 15 quid, wired it onto the rear wiper so just have to turn the wiper on to pop the boot, remember to turn it back off though or you will burn the solonoid out!

If you've dewipered it the best thing you can do is wire it up to the switch on the stalk, as its easy and quick as fook!

other than that you'll have to run the wire all through the car!

How would you connect it to the rear wiper outlet if your de-wippered, Is it just a splice and connect jobby?

heres the pics for you all, you will need to remmove the button/lock but you have to remove it to smoth the boot or handle, i run a wire to the front so cant help with wireing it to the rear wiper hope these help, any questions just pm me

if you have bass in the car put some tape around the solinoid cable or it will ratle
