    Hi everyone. Im in the middle of a project, im doing a boot install and have fitted a ten inch subwoofer. however id like a covering to go around the speaker and amp so that when you see the sub box, there isnt a mess.

    i knew someone who did up a saxo and he managed to do a covering for his sub box. now my issue is i can remember what he used lol. all i know is its a thick silver peice of wood cut to the shape of his boot and cut around the sub box. this tidy's up the boot. i know this thread might sound daft however iv supplied you nice people with a picture of the boot install with the covering. my question to you is that could you tell me any possible material or style of wood he would have used, and if so is it able to be styled e.g. sprayed silver. if you zoom into the pic you might get a better look

    carpet? leatherette?

    use carpet or cover with faux leather, loads on ebay

    MDF is best to use tbh and as said up to you what you do i much prefer trmming it though

    heres mine

    box's are done in faux padded leather
    boot floor is in hard backed anthracite carpet
    middle bit is real alcantara
    and the painted bit of boot were lights are and boot latch is trimmed in acoustic anthracite 4 way stretch cloth
