help wiv vtr-vts box

   my gearbox has finaly gone 2day and i need a new 1 2MORROW morning
   
   iv found a vtr 1 (second hand) but i was wondering would a vts make and differance 2 performance? and would 1 fit??
   
   its a 1998 phase 1 vtr (8v)
   
   how much is a 2nd hand box n has any1 got 1 anywhere near manchester????

   yes its a straight fit mate
   
   vts box is supposed to increase acceleration as it is slightly shorter
   
   however ive fitted a vts box to my mk1 vtr and noticed next to no difference tbh
