Exhausts...

#2if your going euro you could always fit a hidden exhaust and smooth the bumper over the exhaust.
so instead of exhuast poking out the bumper it bends and sits behind the bumper. -
#3Get yourself a 1.1 backbox (one with down pointing tip) and shorten the centre section so its a few inches under under your car and smooth the exhaust recess in your old bumper
-
#4that will loook niiiiiiiiiice!
-
#5yeh, anyone think foreign numberplates look good on saxoss???
-
#7Or go for a peashooter exhaust. Guy on here has one somewhere
-
#8cheers for the ideas guys i was considering a hidden exhaust... but i was just wondering if i was to get a hidden onw would it still be able to make that bit of zing that a bore would or not???
-
#9get a straight though center section that replaces the silencer and a aftermarket manifold and a nice induction kit. That should sound good.
-
#10powerflow or exhaust uk will make you up a stainless hidden exhaust, i have one on my 106 and it sounds the nuts, better than the miltek i had on it before. i love it!
-
#11Sweet any chance you could disclose around how much you paid for that rayray
just out of interest???
-
#12could always get an oval style exhaust too to match the down and out 'stance'
-
#13not sure whos car this is but oval is pretty euro, either this or a hidden one
-
#14Whats the verdict on dual exhaust then guys... or a side exit???
-
#15Neither are Euro. Chav shite.
-
#16my twin, i like it but its not euro at all
-
#17So no dual and no side exit... we thinking hidden then or isnt it worth it??
-
#18euro is a very expensive route to go down...
just so you know -
#19yeah i thought as much but my ideas were side exit or dual and if there more associted as chavvy i certainly dont wana be know like that... im far from it.... but try doin a car up with an indy-style in mind... unless i go for some skinnie tyres and an extra-small bonnet bra lol... is it worth going in for a hidden exhaust??
-
#20have a small oval tip mate to flow with over rounded lines on the car
-
#21i paid around 200 for mine mate
-
#22Sweeeeet
cheers buddy i think im gunna go in for a hidden one when the money comes in
how'd you go about hiding the space where the exhaust WAS is it hard or expensive to do??
-
#23well there's two ways to do it really.
1. the better/stronger way. if you have yourself a soldering iron you can use that, you want to clean up the plastic around the exhaust hole, then get another bit of seperate plastic, of the same make as the plastic used to make the bumper. and cut it to fit the hole. then carefully melt/fuse/weld the random bit of plastic to the bumper. then flat down excess plastic, and apply filler.
2. using p40, and some ali mesh, both can be bought from halfords, stick the mesh behind the bumper bridging between either side of the exhaust hole. leave the glue to set. clean up/ key up the surrounding area, and apply the p40. flat that, and if need be add some filler to fill in any imperfections.
hope that helps
