lowering 40mm

    how bad will it bottom out with out new shocks
    and is there a differance without new shocks with 35mm down
    and then 40mm down
    just pending to buy springs now but aint gor the cash at the mo for shocks aswell

    It will be fine using standard shocks if you lower it on 40mm springs.

    you sure about tha
    i dun fancy bottoming out over every little bump
    but i carn stand feeling really high up
    i ger paid in two weeks so ima splash out on springs
    wa make you recomend?

    Im sure it wont bottom out over everything lol its only 40mm.

    Try having a search mate as it has been asked loads of times.

    ah alright sorted
    my mate gor a zr which is 35mm down
    and it bottoms out everywhere like so just didnt wanna have the same ride as him

    The Saxo is ridiculously high as standard though - 40mm is spot on imo. I get over every bump without catching my lower strut brace... even when four up.

    As for what kind of springs, I've got Spax on mine and I rate them tbh.

    Yeah Spax for me too, recently bought springs shocks and dampers off them for 200 quid, bargain!

    Spax - 40mm
    Apex - 35mm (although they do do a 50mm and a 25mm too)
    KW - 30mm (also do a 55mm but might be too much for standard shocks)

    my 1st car was a 106 1.1 and i had that 60mm on standard shocks and 80mm at the back rolling on 17s lol and didnt have any problems with the shocks just with rubbing. iv just bought a 40mm full spax kit off ebay for my saxo vtr

    mines 55mm down on standard shocks and there budget springs and i dont hav any probs even wen 4 up. GET IT SLAMMED!!!!
