205 1.9 GTI injectors..

   Hey guys.
   
   Im considering this as ive been told they have abetter floew rate.are bigger etc etc.
   
   Just want some more info if anyone has it tbh??
   
   Will they go striahgt on?
   
   What kid of work needs to be done?
   
   Will i see any gain?
   
   Etc etc etc
   
   Its on a 2000 90bhp VTR.

   erm the 205s are carburetted
   so no fuel injection on them

   No, someone are carburetted someone are injection, and they have injectors.

   as far as i saw on mine the carbs wernt injected
   mine was an early 1.9 though

   Yes injectors have the later models. around 94-95.

    all gti's were injected. otherwise they would be gt's

    i had an f reg and a j reg and thay were both injection

    so now we have worked out the gti's WERE injections, would it make any diff putting the 1.9 injectors on my VTR?
    
    Think im going to need to change them anyways so its somthing im going to look at if its worth it

    The standard injectors you have in youre VTR can be mapped to fuel more for say if you have a cam, so are more than enough!

    well i think my injectors are on the way out and a pal said some 1.9 gti injectors would be better as they are bigger etc
    
    Obviously if there bigger you would not need a map....
    
    I have no idea hence why im askin on here first lol

    They would still need a map they could just cope with more fueling if it was needed that is if they are bigger than the standard VTR ones! But as standard injectors and good enough to cope with cams and what not i would just replace them with standard injectors! Can even get refurbished ones!

    They might be bigger but to be honest it will do nothing changing to them as your car doesnt need more fuel. Bigger injectors will give you a rubbish idle and you will get fuel dropout at low revs.

    Not worth it karl tbh, would need remapping and maybe even a better fuel pump in

    unless you need bigger injectors dont go pissing about with them imo.
    
    sometimes bigger doesnt make things run better, infact the oppoiste can happen.

    Injectors from 205Gti can not be fitted on Vtr. They are to longer than standard from Vtr or Vts. You must to buy pico injectors but as we all say there is no need.
