rear light problem

   i have a very weird rear light problem. 1st is when i brake and the sidelights/beam is on, the side light goes out on driver side and the brake light doesnt come on that side (others are fine) 2nd is when i indicate right both indicators come on faintly and the passenger side reverse light comes on the same as them.
   no idea how to sort this so any suggestions?

   sound like an earth problen check all bulb are in correct and clean up all connection and eath points

   the earth points in the cluster bit you can pull out? or are they somewhere else?

   took it to an electric place and they told me its a broken wire. anyine know where the wire starts and runs so that i can fix it myself rather than have to spend money getting it fixed?

   It could also be the plug that goes into the bulb board in the rear lights. Check the pins and the conncetions inside the plugs, sometimes they open up more than they should and it gives a bad earth. I had this exact same problem, and that fixed it.

   Hey I just wanted to say thanks I gave the pins on the board a good clean and it's started working fine thanks for the advice

   Yeah. mate i had this problem it was due to me having water leaking into the light. I think it caused some form of corrosion and bad connections with bulbs and i used to get weird light problems; much like you explained. I got a new bulb holder from another saxo, fitted it and then put some clear sealant around the lip of the light. This stopped the water going in and i havent had a problem since.
