#2no point in getting rid of the rev limiter you dont make any power with your current mods from around 5600 onwards.
Manifold is the next logical step after that your gonna have to consider your options.
cam and remap/dastek > throttle bodies possibly.
super/turbo charger
or ditch the vtr lump for a vts -
#3will a manifold make much difference to performance?
-
#4not much tbh but neither does an exhaust and filter really
-
#5would cam and re-map b betta?
-
#6the two go hand in hand really the standard vtr manifold is pish
-
#7were is the best place to buy a manifold? any1 got a second hand s/s 1?
-
#8Best place to get a manifold from is gmc motorsport in scotland. If your after one 2nd hand have a look in the for sale forums here and on ssc (saxo sports club).

#9go manifold den cams n pulley den chip for added performance
-
#10my advice is a supersprint/gmc manifold, piper 285s, vernier pulley, port, polish and skimmed and a good jampsoprt re-map and to finish it off strip it

#11any1 av a second hand manifold? Will nitrous give good power gains?

#12In english please matey, your not sending a txt message.Quote:Originally Posted by ppavligo manifold den cams n pulley den chip for added performance

#13imo instead of buying a manifold, cams and getting it remapped etc you'd be better off just buying a vts engine. makes more sense- more bhp per £.
-
#14^agreed, by the time you pay for cams, remap, manifold you could have dropped a vts lump in which will give you more power straight away.

#15i got a 4 branch manifold and i find the car is more responsive when you plant you foot on the gas pedal.
