door pin removel questions

  1. #1
are there any security benefits to this at all as well as looking good?
  2. #2
yes mate, you cant open the doors if you bend the top of the door out or smash a window
so it stops most people trying
  3. #3
Yes there is a added security benefit because many people pull the top of your door back and then reach down for the pins to open the door.. Hope this helps

Does make it a lot safer, and looks better too imo!

cheers guys i surpose it does. it should stop them lifting the seal and pulling the pin from the door mechanism aswell i surpose. but you wont be able to lock the car from the inside though, to stop someone trying to jack it!
    anyway thanks again fellas

De-pinning is quit east tbh.. 20 min job 30 at maxium depends wether you un-clip the rod or saw it off i got annoyed and sawed myn off lol there is a thread on here telling you how to do it thats what i followed

its pretty easy to do. just got to take the door card off and feel about inside the door and pop the door pin off. mine was a hassle because someone had cable tied two bits inside it together because it was broken, but in general an easy mod. and only a couple of quid for the rubber grommets

    Ittssss niiiiiceeee

i did mine last weekend,, just cut the rod,, put a corkscrew over the end and then a 13mm grommit. agreed with the secruity issue but if you have remote locking you can lock it from inside and not open the doors!! great for a kidnap lol

The only reason i done mine was security reasons. 5 min job for so much better security
