Maxtorq Disks

Im getting some 266mm calipers at the weekend and looking for disks and pads. Ive seen these from Kam

These any good? Seem cheap, which is always nice. Anyone know of some good pads to go with them?

i put some cheap apec discks and halfords pads in mine and were spot on braking! 10x better than the standards.... those should be fine, but mine were like £40 quid a pair i think, there maybe on the cheap side, so softer metal may not last as long, and a high friction pad will eat them. only guessing tho. PM kam racing on here and see what he says about them/ what eh reccomends.

I changed the rear brake setup on mine last year and went for standard crap. Wasnt happy with them so uprated to maxtorq discs with mintex pads. I went for a drilled and grooved setup and was so much happier with them:

The mintex 1144s are good but they give off way too much brake dust. I read on the Rallye Register the OMPs perform as good but dont give off half the dust! So may go for them next.

I tried cheap disks with race pads in one car. Went through a set of disks every trackday lol

Braking was decent though still. As long as you have decent pads and brake fluid that can cope with the increase in heat you will be fine.

note that tyres make a massive difference to braking. Something thats often overlooked.

Dude! Late post I know but who you calling style whore lol.

Again, for the £££ I really rate these. Just a shame the "Group N" may mislead people a bit.
