as above has anyone actually used these guys before? Just want some opinions currently have one on mine and seems to be ok debating whether a raceland or janspped would make any much more difference.

#2dont suppose you have a link ive heard alot about these but never seen them for myself
-
#3sorry tom dont think they have a website they are on ebay I got mine cheap and it seems to be working well at the moment. Its just I can get hold of a raceland or a janspeed cheap aswell like I know differences are minimal but just seeing opinon
-
#4yer no worries i will have a look
-
#5They do these for the Zetec S, heard that there not the best when it comes to fitment, can be a bit hit and miss and some of them need modifying, but apparently perform well.
-
#6to right on the fittment issues!! gearbox bracket does not line upbit of an arse to get on.Quote:They do these for the Zetec S, heard that there not the best when it comes to fitment, can be a bit hit and miss and some of them need modifying, but apparently perform well.
Does seem to go ok tho -
#7got one on my pug, still going strong 3 years after i got it. my gearbox bracket didn't line up either.
-
#8Heard that the ports on the 16v ones don't line up with the head correctly. Having said that there is one fitted to my supercharged lump and there dont seem to be any issues. I'll have a good look round it when I remove it though.
-
#9Dont do it Gav, the ports arent matched to the head (they are round on the mani), apart from that its a very good manifold imo. If you got the ports sorted....
-
#10if its on the car you probably wouldn't notice a massive difference by changing. spend the money on another performance mod
-
#11what engine you putting it on gav? Save money and hassle and go for the Raceland, as im sure you dont want to be spending loads atm
-
#12nah Ive already got this on the 1.4 sewing machine 8v motor just saying worth changing for anything else ie raceland or janspeed tbh goes well as it is but cant help but feel it could be better
-
#13I had a raceland on my furio and was good mate, give it a go. I sold the manifold for the new owner a month ago
-
#14ill see quikshitter is probably going end of month so will hold back for a bit. Going crazy on shed cant see any threads

-
#15odear what browser you using mate?
-
#16Definite no no. I got one off eBay, problems as follows
1. The bolt holes didn't line up with the block.
2. After filing them for a bit leeway the bracket that links to the gear box didnt line up either.
3. I had to cut a small section of the bracket away so i had extra leeway at the bottom end.
4. Once this was done i found out the bracket is positioned in such a way that you cant tighten the bolt into the gear box casing so that the manifold is secure at the bottom end.
5. Also the port at the bottom isn't chamfered so the gasket from the cat pipe or de-cat pipe doesn't fit snuggly so off it came again.
By this point i was so pissed off putting it on, taking it off, putting it back on, i put it in the shed. Also the gasket it comes with is shite!

#17Follow on from Pro-Tech Manifolds
The manifold is currently in the shed if anyone wants to buy it still requires a tiny bit of re-work. -
#18Follow on from Pro-Tech Manifolds
The 4 branch is currently sitting in the shed. I no longer want it. -
#19are these made from mild steel, as i have a mild steel mani but dont know what make it is and it fits the bill perfectly for all the problems mentioned there, looking for a cheap raceland myself
-
#20Its T304 stainless steel. Mandrel bends, TIG welded with CNC machined flanges.
40mm Primaries going into 4-2-1. Interested like? -
#21how bad of a fitment are they and how much you looking for posted?

#22It cost me £195 and its been on and off the car and ran for no more than an hours road time.
-
