supersprint centre section

sorry if this is a long read but its quite urgent.

i attempted to fit my supersprint race centre section yesterday.
i used the supersprint fire gasket, but the original spring bolts to connect it to the manifold. I also have the standard backbox connect aswell.
i had it fitted and there were no leaks, but it didnt' sound "right".
Today when i was driving it, it was making a horrible rattling noise, and then the rattling noise suddenly stopped and it now sounds like a tractor!
i had a look under the car just now and as far as i can see the clamp on the backbox is intact and the join between the manifold is intact? the only thing i havent checked is the lambda blanking plug? i never touched this? is it possible it has rattled itself loose and the exhaust gasses are escaping before the backbox? thats the only thing i can think of? i got a new exhaust fixing kit from citroen but it hasnt arrived yet, so i guess i'll have to live with it until it arrives?
anyone got any ideas on what it could be??
    thankss

It could be the plug i put exhaust putty around mine for a better seal, It could also be that one of the spring bolts connecting it to the mani has come loose or fallen out this happend to mine when i used the original ones.

Best way to find out though is to get it up on some axle stands or a ramp if you have one and start it up and get urself dirty underneath the car

haha lo and behold, ive just been out there, soaked through to the skin, but theres a nice hole where the plug should be! obviously i should have made sure this was tight before i fitted the exhaust that would explain the rattling aswell! does anyone know where i can get a lambda blanking plug from?

    cheers

just sounds like you have a major leak at one of the joins

kam do one i think my friend

    EDIT: http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen-s...m18-x-125.html

you could also just find a bolt the same size and just put lots of exhaust putty and locktite on it to make sure

my standard mid section broke at the back just in front of midsection and as the mk1 westie has 3 rubber supports on it 2 on the b box and one on centre section it wasnt very well supported causing it to flap evrywere. i fitted my new str9 through pipe and it sounded crap i got a new standard b box temporarily. i just asumed it was the seal on the centre section to cat but sealing made no diffrence. yest i was driving and my car was so loud i cudnt hear my music the exhaust full off on the down pipe. it had broke just infront of the cat!! so my verdict is as there not supported amazingly wit it flapping and being moved about with reffiting it has caused it to slowly break. hence the blowing to start with. now im driving my car with just part of downpipe haha its so loud will have to sort tomoro.
