Heat wrapping exhaust

   Been having a discussion with a few of my mates about fitting this Ashely Comp exhaust from Saxo180.
   
   We are all in 2 minds about the heatwrap.
   
   Yes it is good, but we are thinking it will leave so little heat dispersion along the exhaust it will ruin the backbox / melt the bumper due to the heat when it can finally escape. So its either leave it and risk that, or cut it off half way and then wrap the manifold if I can be bother. But thats a whole other can of worms.

   the gasses are so hot that the system is designed for heat,
   
   i doubt any damage would be done from the heat. more if the heatwrap absorbs water due to being under the car etc...

   So positives of leaving it wrapped, or is it just wasted?

   i wrapped my manifold and old ashley center and had no issues. i sprayed all the wrap with heat wrap water protection spray
