1.2 engine!

   hi guys/girls
   
   i have a 1.2 saxo 2000 and im looking to sell it within a couple of months or so and im trying to get as much for it as i can, so im trying to get some decent stuff in and onto her like new interior and that, but the engines looking a tad bad and i need to get her looking good and running well for when it comes to selling her.
   
   so i was just wondering wat could i change and replace on the engine to get her looking good and running well for a couple more years or miles

   saxos are either 1.0 or 1.1 or 1.4 or 1.6 8v or 1.6 16v
   
   they never made 1.2L engines...

   if its just a 1.1 i wouldnt bother spending money it at all m8 specially if your planning to sell you wont be able to justify any of the money youve spent after sale, and with this recession on m8 it really just isnt worth the bother, apart from young drivers most of the people that buy small engined cars are just looking for a cheap run about

   Welcome. I'd give the engine and gearbox an oil change. Service both the oil and air filters and flush out/refill the radiator.
   
   For looks I'd change the visible parts, if needed, such as the rocker cover and exhaust manifold plate.
   
   Give the exterior bodywork a good wash with shampoo, tar remover/claybar and more shampoo followed by a polish and then a wax finish.
