Furio Gearbox

   Hi, i know a lad from a couple of meets who had a vtr but he said he had a 1.4 furio gearbox for better acceleration. what sort of performance increase/decrease would that give ? just wanted to hear what people thought to it.

   have heard people have done it but havent heard good things tbh see what others say but i wouldnt do it, also your top end wil be reduced and top end on a vtr isnt exactly great anyway lol

   as above, i wouldnt want to lose any top end, even though races are often won from 0-60 odd

   106 xsi box is meant to be the best option for a vtr

   If you have a search you will find a thread that explains and shows all the varients for the different gearboxs the furio box actualy came out with a better top speed IIRC

   yea he only really used his for driving to college/ work and mainly doing drag races at the weekends
