janspeed 4-2-1 manifold

   seen one on ebay at £150 plus postage or they do a sports cat aswel which is £240 plus postage
   is janspeed a good make and is it worth the extra money to get the sports cat aswel is there any difference in bhp?

   yeah janspeed are a good make mate, not sure on the price there about that maybe a little more brand new from kam racing, and no to the sport cat they tend to not be very good and give very minimal gains. for the price, not worth it.

   You will have to put your cat back on for MOT time if you get the decat one so might be worth getting the sports cat doubt there is much difference in gains TBH.

   ah yeah on the MK2 the cat is in teh manifold so when it comes to MOT time you will have to put your standard one back on, or you could always get a cat from somehwere and put that underneath the car in teh centre pipe. But would be easier to just swap the manifold back over for the MOT.

   yes mate unless you put a cat underneath the car somewhere.

   as yours is the 98bhp engine you may have to convert the oil filter to the earlier 90bhp version as the manifold may not fit. but i could be wrong.

    Have a look on kam racing, they have the jans manifold with sports cat in the club discount section

    I've also been looking at getting a janspeed one myself. I will probable be buying the manifold with the sports cat. Even though they are in the discount section on Kamracing they work out to be £10 more expensive, so its cheeper on ebay.
    I might ask kam if i can get some extra discount as i will be buying more than just the manifold and am a previous customer, although first transaction wasnt ideal i got what i wanted and they are great guys at kam. Have sent them 2 pms though and havent heard anything back..
    If you are also interested we could see if kam will do a group buy on them?

    yh mate ill be interested in the manifold and sports cat and if he cant do a deal ill try with the seller on ebay and see if he will do them cheaper if we buy two
