ive got a mk1 1.4 westcoast and was just wondering what performance parts will i most benefit from?

First thing to tackle is the suspension and brake setup. This will make you alot quicker point to point than a few engine mods.

Then go for a manifold, de-cat and exhaust system. Then maybe an induction kit. After that hit it with cams if you really want.

ahh cheers ive already got a magnex exhaust system atm, how much you reacon the brakes and suspension will cost to do?

Cat back system? Get a decat and manifold. You should feel a small difference.
Brakes wise i'd go for a 266mm set up from a 206 gti. Should be able to get the calipers and discs cheap enough. What wheels have you got?

Suspension wise check out the Kam Racing website. Quite a few deals. Most people like blisteins (sp) with Faulkner springs but that's quite pricey. A spax kit should be fine. Even a spring kit with the torsion bar set to match would be ok, just not as good a ride

266mm fits under the vtr wheels i believe. Cheap upgrade and makes a massive difference.

might dabble in some 206 brakes then!

if u want to get faster, strip your car..
decat, straight through exhaust system..

and a good service!

yeah not really a big fan of stripping i no it helps but i also like the styling side not just proformance n striped doesnt look 2 good lol
