There was talk about this not so long ago mate. I can't really remember who it was. I have a feeling it was Saxonator. He had a few problems while attempting the same thing.

If you do a search and find out it was him, then I think his problems were solved.

    Yo,
I did the same thing with mine about 3 weeks ago and it was a f**kin slag to do.

I'm hoping you kept the backing bit with all the screws and everything, otherwise your in the poop.

No joke this took me 8 hours to get rite.
The first time round i had a lot of mesh hanging off the back and then realised i was never going to get the grille back in without a 8mm gap between that and the bonnet.

What i did in the end was...
very carefully cut the mesh until the end was just a little bit touching the back of the grille. This should get the backing on with a fairly snug fit.
Make sure you have a few 'dry runs', putting the grille back on (use loads of selotape to hold the mesh in place).
You'll notice that fit wont be great to start off with, thats coz of the top chevron (it seems to go back a hell of a lot - you'll need to shape the grille to curve round it).
Once your happy grab yourself some... i think its called 'Tiger Paste'. Its a polyurethane tube of gunk which sticks to anything so be careful. Keep the selotape and make sure it is properly secured.
    Then paste away.
Its best to leave it to dry for 24-48hours which means that you'll end up with a gapping hole in the front of your car for a while (unfortunately I went round lookin a bit of a bender for a day - still better for just a day than forever).

then fit and with a bit of luck it should fit fairly nicely.

Mine looks like this and i did it myself...

WELL F**KING FANTASTIC.... how do i upload picks?
    anyway it looks mint.

If you get stuck again give us a shout.
it can be done but its a total bastard.

    I forgot to mention....

take the selotape off when the gunk has dried otherwise yer grille might look a tad strange

ive just done mine and wat i did was mark up where the screw hole sections sat in comparison to the front surrounding main grille part. And then cut them off and glue them in place with solvent cement. i used a brand called poly plumb. This will melt the plasic welding them solid. I then meshed arround the holes using vr mesh. ill post some pics of how i did tomorrow.

ive done mine now, i got the mesh sprayed black of course lol, put it all into place and siliconed it on, its in the garage at the moemnt with tape holiding it tighyly in, hopefully the silicone will dry by tomorrow morning and i can take off the tape with it securely in position cut a tny hole enough for thetip of my finger to open the bonnet, filed mesh down not for it to be sharp aswell , i didnt colour code the grille just wanted to get it back on after the screw lugs had been cut off, i'll get some pics up once the tape is off and is secure and clean

I'm wondering whether to do the bottom grille/bumper (what ever they call it)....
