EBC Green Stuff?

  1. #1
    Hi

I'm need front and rear brake Pads for my VTR?

I cant afford updated calipers ect. Are Green Stuff pads any good?

Front: Green Stuff Rear: Green Stuff
Front: Green Stuff Rear: Normal cheap stuff

Car only road use, not track. Are EBC too over rated.

Theres a few pads, theres red and yellow. From what ive read id go for red stuff.

Theres also other pads to consider - carbonne loraine, mintex.

Persoanlly id go for mintex pads for normal driving. http://www.kamracing.co.uk/manufactu...6-8v-1571.html

If you have the money you coul also throw some Group N discs on http://www.kamracing.co.uk/manufactu...-vts-1322.html

isnt blue stuff meant for full on track/race use?

Not come across blue stuff, so probably yes, the red, green, yellow are fast road/track use. The setup i posted would be adiquate for road use.

Might as well get new disks when getting new pads. What you recommend for the disk?

Green Stuff / Red Stuff Front Pads

    Normal Cheap s**t Rear Pads

    And Disk?

From what I've read... green stuff are rubbish. I'd go for discs from a motor factors and a good set of pads - Mintex 1144's etc.

I recomended a disk above if you read my post. Maxtorq group N for £22/disc which is reasonable.

i have green stuff pads in the front of my vtr and i dont rate them tbh, seem to struggle to stop from like 90 upwards. need to really press the brake pedal to make them work harder.
