#2is it front or rear wheel? if its front sounds like uv bent track arm/rack or bottom arm.
If its rear u might need a new beam -
#3if you've done the front maybe trac rod end
if the back is whats hit then could be stub axle or trailing arm -
#4You cant bend a track rod end, You either nocked the tracking out, bent the acutal track rod, bent the wishbone or maybe the strut depending how it hit it. More than likely the wishbone, if its the rear then its most likely the trailing arm thats bent, so more economical to put a 2nd hand beam on.

#5As my man says.Quote:You cant bend a track rod end, You either nocked the tracking out, bent the acutal track rod, bent the wishbone or maybe the strut depending how it hit it. More than likely the wishbone, if its the rear then its most likely the trailing arm thats bent, so more economical to put a 2nd hand beam on.

#6I bent mine and got a replacement, "unscrewed" it and "screwed" the replacement in, then took it for tracking.

#7ive fixed pleanty of cars that have bent trackrod ends recently, only the end too!Quote:You cant bend a track rod end, You either nocked the tracking out, bent the acutal track rod, bent the wishbone or maybe the strut depending how it hit it. #8i wasnt going mad then!
lol

#9Thinking then the saxo uses a male thread so yea you can bend them come to think of it, the female thread will bend the trackrod

#10maybe wishbone mate my pal done the same to his quicksiler and thts what its was

#11I have searched track rod ends and found this.
I did exactly the same as the original post, hit a kerb whilst driving in the snow.
It was the passengerside front, and since it drives like a sack of shite.
At speeds over 50 the car shudders and shakes.
I took it to ATS and they did a tracking check and it was 12mm out.
They think it is the trackrod end which could be bent as it is wearing the inside of my tyres.
Anyway they have asked me to bring it back this Friday, as one of their mechanics, knows his Citroens.
In the mean while, if it is my track rod end, are they easy to replace, are they standard to all cars or are they made to suit each model?.
Same question to arms, wishbone etc.
Hope somebody can advise.
