hi peeps got my saxo down 60mm on spax psx adjustable suspension but it seems to under steer like a bitch is there any think i can do to get rid of it?? could it be my tiyres on front there cheap budgets?
Understeer
-
#1
-
#2drive slower haha only jokin
-
#3Could try making the front dampers a bit softer, psx are adjustable. Decent front tyres would help too obviously, and driving slower.
Roads are pretty dodgy around here at the moment tbh. -
#4strut braces? polyflex bushes?
-
#5its probably the roads. they are really greasy...
-
#6my saxo is pants in this weather wait till its warm then try it
lol
-
#7new tyres might be an idea. top and bottom strut braces, new bushes, drive smoother
-
#8shit tyres + shit weather + cornering hard = understeer!
-
#9lsd.....
-
#10thicker rear anti roll bar.
-
#11the front end is too stiff. you need to soften the front or make the rear stiffer.
if they are adjustable shocks get them on the softest setting and see how that affects the handling -
#12if you have budget tyres, chop em in @ a partworn place and buy some decent rubber.
-
#13tbh the best idea is to buy some decent tyres my saxo handled like shit so I got some better tyres and it sticks to the road like glue even in the rain and its not even lowerd (Y)
-
#14get some toyo's on the front
-
#15yer i have mine lowered about 60mm on rear and its been understeering alot recently, i think saxo's probably handle best lowered at about 35/40mm, is this about right?
-
#16get some toyos or yoko on the front
-
#17Thats because all cars handle better at standard height. Citroen made it that height for a reason lol.
-
#19have you lowered the rear more than the front?
-
#20Love all these people who are saying get better tyres etc etc
I have Budget Durrun Sport 1's on mine and they are grippy as hell!!
Much better than Toyo Proxe TR-1's ANd Michellen Exalto sports!
Also have some budget Roadstone's before these and they wer great also.
i have never had understeer in either of my saxo's
One down 60mm at front and standard at the bk (lol)
And my current one which is down 40mm all round and it oversteers, but no understeer....
Maybe learn how to take a corner properly lol
-
#21yours wont understeer as its lower at the front.
if you want it lowered i'll do it for £40 -
#22Reducing grip at the rear is no substitute for increasing it at the front
-
#23or be a better driver and have balls and hold it in a drift style y0
rwd VTS iv had a few times on bends LOL -
#24I found mine handled really well at standard height. It was a more controlled experience when the back end used to go light - bit harder to catch now it's down 40mm, does feel more planted tho.
-
#25my car used to understeer at standard height with wider tyres at the front and standard vts dampers and springs up front but a 1.1 rear axle on 13 inch steelies
. Yet since lowered tis fine. Never get any understeer or oversteer funny that..
