rear axle brakes

   i have a wee problemo with my rear axle it needs refurbed my car is due its mot next month and i was wondering would i be able to put a rear axle with drums on so i can get it through??
   
   and il get my vtr axle refurbed at some point

   vtrs have disks mate.
   
   as far as putting the drum beam on, why not use both beams to refurb your current one? can be done in an afternoon

   My mistake, but wouldn't recommend using used parts to refurbish something...

   Yes you can but its easier to buy one or re-furb the one you have.

   its £45 for bearings from my local motor factors but i could do with getting sum new brake discs n pads aswell
   
   would the rear drums go on fine? or would i have to muck about with stuff

   use the drum beam if its fine, then fit new bearings to your disc trailing arms and fit them to the drum beam.

   put the trailing arms from the disk beam onto the beam from the drum beam then you have a complete working disk beam
