   whats a budget setup?
   medium price setup?
   expensive setup?
   
   spax psx? vsx? bilstein group N? polybushes? strut braces?

   Budget - Spax Springs - £40
   Medium - Apex Springs and Dampers - £200
   Medium - Bilstein Group N, Faulkner springs - £400
   Expensive - GAZ/AST Coilovers - £1000

   Bilstein are the ones to get if you have the cash!!

   the group N bilsteins are arguably more top end of medium as the cheap coilovers kits are around the same price (but not as good)
   
   the ASTs are premium coilovers quality. i my experience performing better than Leda/Gaz (which are v similar)
   
   The AST make me seriously consider ditching my leda shocks on the 309 before I've even got it working.

    The damping rate is stiffer on the group N's, also they have a bigger oil capacity which means they cope with hard use without overheating.

    Depends on how track focused you want your car really. I've got a Spax 40mm setup on mine and I rate it for the money... ideal for blasting round the back roads. Gaz also do an adjustable setup for a similar cost.
