Important! : My N/A engine

  1. #1
I am selling my project track car in parts. All the parts are brand new and never used but i cant afford to keep it and finish it

Basically i want to know how much my engine is worth really, and if there is any interest. It is brand new, hasnt even been run in, it is running though, i had it running for 20mins to make sure everything was working and it didnt overheat etc.

It was built to get 200bhp+, most of the work done by QEP. I have reciepts for absolutely everything that will come with it. The reciepts come to just under £9k!!! (but i know i wont get anywhere near that).

The spec is as follows :

    Jenvey independent throttle bodies
Custom QEP inlet manifold made to give correct angle and length and to match the head
    4.5bar fuel pressure regulator
    GMC 420cc injectors
KMS ECU with custom loom so ecu is in the car
    KMS wideband lambda and display
JE custom oversized high compression pistons
Forged conrods with ARP2000 rod bolts
    QEP extra bigger valved head
    catcams 810 cams
    catcams oversized solid lifters (31mm)
    catcams valve springs
    Peugeot sport sump baffle kit
    Piper vernier pulleys
    GMC aluminium bottom pulley
OMP Fast road paddle clutch kit
Standard VTS gearbox with Quaiffe ATB diff

I have probably missed bits out too. The bottom end has had a full rebuild with new bearings, new oil pump, reground crank etc, and the head has new valve stem seals too. All gaskets are new genuine citroen ones too.

Also with this engine i will provide braided fuel lines and anodised aluminium fittings for it too. It is up to the buyer if they want these or not, but for those who dont know they run from the fuel tank to the fuel rail inside the car through the bulkhead using bulkhead fittings. These arent cheap either but i wanted the best.

The only thing that will be needed to complete this engine is and exhaust and a manifold, i was going to use BTB but companys like maniflow can make the perfect exhaust if you tell them the spec of the engine.

Any questions will be answered as soon as i read them. Either write on here or send a PM.

The rest of the car will be for sale soon too.

in todays current economical climate its really not worth the money secondhand which it is actually worth.

people want things for penuts and expect people to sell it for penuts due to needing any money they can get.

I personally think 4k will be the max you will get sadly from most places. Although if you can find the right buyer (try motorsport/racing ads) you might get 5k +

And to think you got that bloody carbon airbox I wanted off egay to lol!

thats a rite spec, u can sell it when its had all that done then fall short for the sake of a manifold and exhaust, that sounds like a true beast, slot that lot in a 5 door 1.1 and have some fun!!!!!!!!!!

lol. i have got a track prepared car already which will all be going in the end too unfortunately. Along with all suspension, breaks etc

  26. #26
    thanks 4 those ryan!!

toad if i cant sell it then you will see it running soon. But if you are interested...???
  27. #27
Yeah, I'd like to see it running for sure.
  28. #28
i think you'l be very lucky to get £2500.

yes your spec is very nice and will certainly be ood for 200bhp.

But generally second hand (even though its new) is worth 50% of new. you wont get any of your labour charge back from the sale...3000pounds tops...worth a whole lot more imo...but no-one will pay it...

Just as a bench mark i sold my entire supercharged vts car for £6500. that had quaiffe gearbox, cgaed, 4pots, the whole deal! so 5k is a lot to ask!
