Your thoughts?

I'm thinking of VT* Kitting my 1.1. Yes I know it's overdone, so to be a bit different I want a two tone job, like MrHouston's. Now the car atm is an awkward colour - rainforest green. But I really can't afford a full respray so I'm thinking just spray the kit whatever and keep the top half green?

I want people's opinions on what colour could look good? I think black would look ok, but I like the idea of a pearl white colour, could look quite euro lol.

Here it is as it stands:

think is the best option really, or you could just get the paint shop 2 match your color.

    but vt kit defo
  3. #3
i did a quick photoshop for you mate its not the best but you get the idea with the black vt kit

  4. #4
LOL i'm such an insperation my name pops up in all these sort of threads (e-head gets bigger)

Hmm tough colour.. maybe black but I think a vt kit that matches the colour of yours is the best bet mate
  5. #5
why dont you just get a furio?
  6. #6
Probably due to insurance as it's a 1.1 so he wants to make it nice while he's driving it

I'd deffo just put the same colour VT kit on yours tbh, it's a rare colour and would look clean and tidy

the amount of money that it will cost him to fit and spray a vt kit will surely be more than the difference in insurance between a 1.1 and furio? plus, you can pay insurance monthly

I really cbf to look for another car lol. I've started doing little mods to this one and I want to keep modding it. And I haven't actually ever seen anyone with this colour before so wouldn't mind keeping.

I think a colour coded VT kit would look better with black rims maybe....or anthracite
  10. #10
Yeah I'm thinking that now lol. Another quick quesiton to throw out there, I'm going to spray my chevrons black today, I want to do something with the slats on the grill too as they are badly faded. Should I spray them gloss black or colour code them?

mesh the grill there are loads of guides its easy and black mesh would look great mate and just something else to think about as the whole vt kit is over done the front bumper fits if you pull the sides in and looks, im going to go for just a front vt bumper on mine and keep it flat arch

    2 tones look shit imo
im not a huge fan of the origonals and this new style of random colours lust look wank

Thanks for the opinion, I just want to know what people think because if the majority, like you, think two tones look shit then I won't bother
  14. #14
so your modding your car purely on other peoples opinions??

itll be stripped out like a 'track car' then soon
  15. #15
I'd rather drive a car that I can drive knowing other people think looks good, or as good as it can for a saxo, than one people think looks shit but I'm sat there like a mug going "I dm I like it". I'd just feel happier driving it.

i'd go for the pearl white idea. think it would look real good with the top half kept green.

I 2nd vouch this mate, pearl white vt kit with that green on top. Then slam it down with some wide euro alloys.

You would be totally unique, plus it would look great tbh.

    On to a winner
  18. #18
yeh white vt kit wud look awsome with white alloys
  19. #19
Yeah I thought it would be pretty good, and different. Not sure if the super powerful 1.1 engine would shift deep dish rims though haha.
  20. #20
i think white or mabe a dark grey or black would look good.

  26. #26

  27. #27
