Shaft play in turbo?

   Not on a Saxo this time but Im sure some of you can help
   
   Just bought a replacement turbo for my Ibiza, which I was told had covered 54k miles. The turbine spins freely which is good, but there is a small amount of side-to-side play on the turbine shaft, about 1-2mm, but no in/out play. If I push the shaft sideways it touches the housing of the turbo.
   
   Would you say this is normal?, I know a little bit of shaft play is acceptable but I dont know if thats for side-to-side or in/out movement? I just don't want to fit it to then find out its fooked...

   surely this isnt correct, when a turbos on boost its spinning at like 60000 rpm so play wouldnt be a good thing. Could this be a worn bearing?

   Is it the standard cupra turbo, or an uprated one?

   turbos are aloud very minimal movement side side and in out but talking less than 1mm here. My old GT17 on the 1.1 did that bearings were boned annd was smokey like hell
