Ecu maped?

   when i brought my car the seller told me it had a (high rev map) on it, is they any such thing as i have never heard of it. i didnt really belive him.
   Is they anything that could have been done to fool this bloke into thinking he had a high rev map on it? cheers

   What does it limit at? 7200rpm, or closer to 8k (about 7800rpm)?

   Ill check tomrow, im just concerned as it constantly sounds as if i need to change gear, going at 60-70 in 5th and it constantly screaming. but at the lower revs its as quiet as anything, and if i dont change from 1str to secound really quickly it scrreeeaaams.

   i have got a big exhaust system but it shouldnt scream like that tbh, it runs fine and pulls really well just sounds crap. also have a whining sound that comes when the clutch is up and not down, around 3rd gear, any ideas? only way to discribe it is the sound of a bus.

    the map wouldnt change what RPM its doing in each gear mate.
    
    on standard vts box its at about 3.5k rpm in 5th at 70.
